Yesterday, I decided to give our car a bath, why? Coz I have been skipping on my badminton games for 2 weeks now being sickie and all that, and because I can literally write my name on the car - the best way to burn some calories is to wash the car. It was a brilliant idea aside from my back telling me never to do that again hehe.
I did that while Hermione was on her little pool enjoying herself playing with our househelp. Then I took a quick shower and headed to the salon for that much needed pedi, I chose a metalic blue Sally Hansen nailcolor since I'm stock with my Orly in Red and it has been always on my nails. I have to go to Megamall to pick-up new nailcolors.
Then me and the little girl went to my in-laws just across the street for a little chit-chat, and boy that coffee that I drunk kept me up the whole night. So I tried to get some nap but couldn't get a decent one because the little girl is always in the room checking me out and banging the door behind her every 5 minutes or so.
Tomorrow I will go to the wax salon before meeting my BFFs for coffee, I'm so excited to go out again.
Its 2011. Some people have new year's resolution, well, not me, I might as well do a wishlist, this is better, more realistic...don't you think? Yes, a wishlist to start my new year. Hubby might raise an eyebrow upon seeing this, but he knows me well after being with each other for almost half of our life that I get my motivation to succeed in life from the things I wanna have. *Wink*Wink
So, here are they:
1. LV Speedy 30. In Ebene, to match my LV Neverfull.
2. Macbook. Yeah, yeah, I just got the cutest Lenovo netbook, but I wanna own this, but I have to be a macbook user by heart so I guess I will have to borrow hubby's macbook pro while I'm still studying. Then, I'll pass the pink netbook to my darling daughter, you see I'm a great mommy!
3. Missha BB Cream. I'm soooooo in love with Missha, I ordered this and Dr. Jart BB Cream online but so far this outperform the other so I would want a cabinet full of Missha!
4. iPad Cover. Yes, my ipad needs a new outfit after all she's been upholding to Hermione's expectations, my little technie girl loves my iPad she thinks its hers. I guess this case would do. Simple yet very professional looking since I will be working again, but I will have to beg my daughter to give me back the iPad or the hubby will buy me a new one...hmnnnn.
5. Orly. My nails only deserve Orly, I want to grab all the colors!
Oh no, its getting late already....I need more time to do this...
I'm feeling excited since late last week, I can feel that God is unveiling one of His grand plan for me. Thank you Lord for showering me with Your love.
I was promoted from being the Mayordoma/Driver, now I'm also the yaya of my little one. Last week, I was furious with Hermione's yaya for not coming back on time, she was supposedly to be back by January 2 and yet she didn't. I would have allowed her for one more week of vacation time if she just told me straight that she was planning to have a week-long vacation. She knew from the start how I hate false promises. So when she texted me again that she won't be coming back until Saturday after promising to return by Tuesday, and then by Wednesday, I told her and her mom that I will not be accepting her anymore and she is FIRED!
Good thing I'm left with a dependable helper. Now, I'm a hands-on mom to my little chinita and I'm loving every moment of it. I was supposed to go on full-blast job-hunting for Singapore since I really want to join hubby real soon. But Hubby told me to hold my horse, there's no need to hurry and just enjoy being with the little girl. How sweet of him, he knew that I'm enjoying my new role as a full-time mom to our only daughter and is giving me the time of my life. Of course, he misses us so much that there are times he needs to be pep-talked, I realized its because he's so attached to me and Hermione, WE are his WORLD. And I love him more because of that, I'm soooooooo lucky for having him. I realized I must have done something right to deserve him :)
This is us after 16 years. We had our high school reunion last December 29...and after more than one and half decade I met them again. I cannot imagine that it has been 16 years already since we graduated, it seems its only yesterday, how time really flies. Back then, we were just kids and now we have kids.
My high school life is not the best as would Sharon Cuneta described in her song High School Life. But it was truly memorable. I belong to the star section and to the most elite girl group at school - CO. B. As a student, I never liked studying for exams, or reciting. I would always hope that the other Jennifers in the class are the one being called when the teacher would mention my name during recitation or board work. Moreso, I was always seated in the front row because of the freakin' seating arrangement, I'm just glad that my seat mate happens to be my BFF - Cecille, it made those boring subjects much bearable because she is a good listener for someone who would talk non-stop like me aside from being good in math which I was never good at.
I was always voted as class secretary, while the other girls at school were fond of cooking, baking, planting, skirting and other girly-girly stuff, I was into journalism,. I was also an officer at CAT, and I graduated still on top 10 of my class despite my lack of effort and enthusiasm in academics. Not bad.
My love-life was zero. Of course, I had my share of crushes way back in high school, and all of them, eventually courted me. I dunno, I was mean to boys back then and even during my college days. I love turning down boys and intimidating them especially those really good-looking and famous ones, the Mr. Blah Blah of the school or the Crush ng Bayan, because I find them "mayabang" in a way, they have this air around them that says: they can get all the girls because they are good looking and all, well not me.
Even my husband now - Erick, I turned him down the first-time he courted me, even though he was one of the most sought-after guy at school back then, and if looks could kill, I would have died instantly from the darting looks the girls at school were giving me. Sure, they are more attractive than me, but maybe my lack of interest in men makes me more appealing to them hehe.
The truth is, I was afraid of relationships. Because I've seen how my friends cried over some guy and some failed relationships, that's why I'm not in such a hurry to join them in their misery. But I'm glad that I took the chance with Erick, sure he is not perfect, but he is perfect for ME. And I never regret loving him, he is a great husband and the best daddy to Hermione.
Going back to our HS Reunion, the attendance is really disappointing, I'm not sure with all the FB announcements why the others have not attended. I was counting to see a lot of faces but they never showed up. A lot of my classmates and batchmates have gained not just wisdom and knowledge but also pounds. I'm glad I was not alone in this category, yay!
There were some that are successful in their chosen careers - being soldiers, teachers and still those climbing the corporate ladders, there were those like me who are SAHM, and those who are not that fortunate enough and still struggling with life's challenges. One of our batchmate is a "basurera" and I really feel for her, as she have 5 little kids and a husband with a heart problem, but I envy her courage, no matter how life tries to put her down, she is still there hanging on. I'm glad that our batch was able to help her in our own little way. I hope we can start a foundation of some sort, to help our batch mates in dire needs. I've always wanted to do charity works and I hope this is the start.
