This is the first time we won't be going out on a Sunday simply because we don't have a choice. Our maid went home this weekend to attend her lolo's funeral, and we cannot just simply leave the little girl and yaya alone, nor, take them with us, because I really cannot do my thing with the little girl always asking for my attention.
Yesterday, we stopped by the mall to pick up the shoes I ordered from my favorite shoe store - Officine, and also started my Christmas shopping for the family. I promised myself I would do my C - Shopping early, coz 1) stores usually go on big sales during these months, end of season sale, inventory sales, name it 2) I don't have to wait in long lines 3) I hate Christmas rush 4) I want to setup a really big Christmas tree this year, and I need the gifts to be sitting there 5) I don't feel robbed because of one-time, big-time shopping and with me working already, I don't think I will have that much time to shop during December.
I also bought dear hubby a nice pair of loafer shoes, mine was a loafer too, I've been meaning to get one for ages, glad I found a nice-looking loafer, soooo comfy. I was also able to grab a nice top from Apple and Eve. For lunch, we decided to go again to Cafe Lidia, we ordered Buffalo Wings, Fish and Chips, Pasta ala Lidia and House Special Pizza, we also cannot say no to the Blueberry cheesecake, love it there!
Then we headed to my mom's place, hubby needed to go to the dentist while we had Karaoke with my brother, and just when I feel that my throat is going on fire, we left for home, I wanted to catch up some movie time before sleeping.
My head is starting to feel heavy with too much information I needed to take in with so little time. You see, I was handed one of the biggest project, its moving and I'm happy that we're on-track.
Last week I was given another project, this time, its a business-initiated one, I have to do the Technical Implementation Plan and WBS within a week-time. Since the scoping has already started before it was assigned to me, I missed a lot of details so I need to catch up plus the fact that I'm not that yet familiar with their systems, they have a lot of systems like maybe - over 50....I'm not complaining though, I'm paid for every project I manage, the more projects that I have on my plate, the more moolah I have, and the more shopping I get...
Yes, we always find ourselves not spending time at home during weekend. Last Sat, I was a bit grumpy after being waken up by the little girl with just 5 hours of sleep, so I asked her yaya to take care of her while I went back to bed to sleep some more, I can be very irritated if deprived of snoozing time. I woke up almost 12nn, and immediately went to my dentist with the hubby. After that, we decided to try Cafe Lidia, I learned this from my father and my friend Joy, who shared that they serve the best pizza and pasta. I dunno but I must have been french during my previous life, and so I believe, because I would always prefer french food over others.
So we trooped to Cafe Lidia for a late lunch, the place look old and warm. Situated in a residential area, good thing its not in the commercial district. The place is big enough, they even have function rooms to hold over 100 persons. The ambiance is nice, relaxing and they have Wi-Fi. We ordered Baked Penne Pasta, Pizza Lidia and Buffalo Wings. What can I say? I love their food! I was so happy I found this place, we would definitely come back for more.
After our delicious lunch, I went to Lay Bare to reschedule my brazillian wax to another time. And I used the time to mall around, I was able to buy a nice pair of shoes from my favorite - Officine and on-sale slippers made from Argentina for just P100 a pair (marked down from P650), I bought one for my mom and another for yaya. Then I realized that it was quite a steal, I should have bought more...No worries, I ordered a pair of driving shoes, I'm just waiting for it to be delivered there, so by then, I will be allowed to purchase unlimited pairs...I just hope they still have the sizes I need. Then I headed to the grocery while the husband went for an hour-long massage.
I decided to buy in bulk this time, as in good for 2-3 weeks so I'll not be forced to go to grocery again soon. Before I love going to the grocery but with me working again and a fully-booked weekend, I don't think I still have time for that anymore.
Come Sunday, I went to my favorite salon for cellophane, mani and pedi. Unfortunately, I'm not very happy with my hair color so I had to change it like - today! I swore not to have my hair colored again in a salon, its better if I-do-it-myself.
After my trip to the salon, I went home and immediately took a bath to head to my mom's place where we will meet for a late lunch, we went to David's Tea House at Trinoma. Boy, I was sooooo full! Then we went around individually to do our shopping, I was so disappointed when the Melissa shoes I have been planning to buy does not have my color and size anymore. I should have bought it the last time I was there.
Hermione was so happy to be with the whole family especially her favorite Tito, we were back home around 8PM. I had cup noodle for dinner because I was too lazy to think what to eat. After putting the little lady to sleep, I watched 4 episodes of Private Practice before sleeping.
I've been trying to cut down on my food intake, though I'm still at 120lbs. My target is to 5-10 lbs lighter and its really hard considering that I tend to binge if I felt deprived.
Last Tuesday, I was planning not to have dinner, instead we stopped by Banchetto in Libis and had a big dinner and a sinful dessert, then today, I had a big lunch followed by my favorite donuts - triple choco boom, you can tell from the name of the donuts that its not your regular donuts but sugar-loaded one and had ham and cheese croissant and a can of coke for snacks! OMG! What's happening to me, tonight I had shrimp and veggies for dinner.
3rd day in a row- that my migraine is giving me a nightmare.
Got to the office a bit late than planned because of traffic, although I'm flexi time and all, I usually leave the house with the hubby between 7:30 to 8:00am. I had to rushed a powerpoint presentation since our project meeting was moved way earlier. Work is as usual, though I have a new project and I'm a bit excited about it.
It was nearly six o'clock when I realized I need to pay for my credit card and water bill so I grabbed my bag and went out, then I went grocery shopping after taking a light meal at KFC. Hubby told me not to do my shopping at the forum again since its a long work to the parking lot and the grocery bags are killing his arms, I agreed to just to my grocery during weekend.
Hermione is already sleeping when we went up to the room, we're training her to sleep early so we can rest too, though we kinda miss our bonding 'til midnight. I promised to sleep early tonight so I'm cutting on browsing time, I'll just play one Vampire Diaries episode and that's it!
Since I was really soooo tired last weekend, I decided to cutback on my "malling" a bit. Hubby needs to see an optha in Medical City, he dropped us at Megamall to roam around. We got there too early so we ended up in the grocery, I bought fruits and chocolates for my mom and chips for my little brother. When the shops opened, we headed to Watson and grabbed some personal stuff for me and yaya. I bought yaya a manicure set complete with nail polish in different colors. Yaya was very happy I can see it in her face with her loots, its my small way of thanking her for taking care of my one and only daughter while I'm at work.
I wasn't able to buy clothes and bags as planned except for a jacket at R.A.F since I cannot shop decently when the little girl and her dad are with me. We had lunch at Bonchon Chicken and had milk tea at Bubble Tea before heading to Fun Ranch in Libis. The place was quite disappointing, we were hoping Hermione could play at Leaps and Bounce but the place looks dirty...and its so hot in there, we thought it was under renovation or something, so we ended up riding the carousel. We cut our visit since its not that nice there so we just went to my mom's place and had dinner there before going home.
I wake up earlier this morning, I want to start my Sunday real early, I decided to watch Eagle starring Tatum Channing, gosh I really like this guy. At 9am, Hermione found me downstairs which made her cry, she always does that when she realized that I left her, to make up for it I fixed her a bowl of Koko Crunch for her breakfast. After the movie, I went to the kitchen to cook lunch while the little lady played with her yaya, my menu: Pork Binagoongan, Friend Squid and Steamed Veggies. I hit the treadmill for 15 minutes before having my lunch, to compensate for what I'm about to load hehe. At 2pm my therapist arrived for my home massage, sooooo relaxing. I was able to sleep for an hour. At 5pm I readied and went to mass with hubby and canvass for eyeglasses. Hubby was diagnosed with astigmatism and he's quite far sighted so he was advised to wear prescription eyeglasses so there we are hunting every eyewear store. As for me, since I can't find a nice-looking frame, I will just stick to my contact lenses. The stores were almost closing when we went to the parking lot, we stopped by at Starbucks for a doze of caffeine boost.
Now, I'm here still awake while my hubby and daughter are sleeping soundly in their beds.
Last night hubby took me to a movie date, of course, I wouldn't miss Harry Potter 7.2. Since the husband will be coming all the way from the South, I was tasked to get the tickets at an earlier time, I have been meaning to go out by 5 o'clock but late-minute emails trapped me on my desk for another hour. I took the bus because I'm not sure how's the parking in Edsa Shang Mall, and I realized it was a good call not to bring one or I would have gone crazy, the worst parking area ever! Though I endured a 15-minute walk from Megamall since I wasn't sure where to go down, I'm not that familiar with that area and the bus stops so I ended up with the wrong bus stop.
So there I was 1.5 hours late, luckily there was 2 seats available at the farthest left side of the cinema, I got the 3D, 9:30 show, I'm not really that positive that I will like the seats but heck, I was late and I don't want to walk back again to Megamall to switch movie house so I paid the cashier hoping I would be able to somehow enjoy the movie. Then I went for a little shopping, since my feet was a bit swollen from all the walking. I just managed to buy a bag for myself. I'm happy with my purchase since I've been meaning to buy that bag when I saw it in the magazine but the price tag made me hold back and remind myself that I'm saving for the LV Speedy. But last night it was on 50% discount, so I picked it up and went straight to the cashier, without thinking.
We had dinner at Pepper Lunch, I got the Beef Pepper Rice while the husband opted for its Chicken version. I enjoyed my dinner, it was delicious! Though I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to use my Standard Chartered transaction receipt because of the issue on the promo date, but I'm still happy with our dinner. Then we went to the cinema, the seats where we were assigned were not bad after all since the seats were strategically positioned towards the 180-degree screen.

Tonight I found myself a bit irritated as in cursing-type irritated with my netbook, somehow I can't use the IE since I installed torrent, thankfully dear hubby is here to rescue me from my rotten mood. He fixed my netbook and gave me a body massage since it was a bit late for a home service massage.
I'm sooooo tired! and its because of too much Malling! Yes, its been week after week that we found ourselves in the mall. Last Sat we headed to the mall to pickup some home stuff, no shopping for me. Today, after a sumptuous that I somehow managed to cook - its Chili Garlic Shrimp, we went to the mall, hubby and the little girl went for a play, while I had my "me" time, foot spa, manicure, and pedicure- I super love my nails since I got to try the new O.P.I Crackle Nail Polish, though I have to spend 2 hours at the nail salon, but its definitely worth the time and moolah.
Then we headed to the grocery for some foodie, bought some hermione-related stuff and had dinner before going home. There I was, dead-tired already, but not that tired to blog and catch a late-night movie showing here in my netbook hehe.
