FAILED GM
I intend to go on GM diet this week as a way of body cleansing, but when I just about to finish off my 1st day, my brothers and mom called me and asked if I could help them in doing some shopping for the house. When I was in the mall, my head is spinning because all I had was fruits earlier...so when I couldn't take it anymore, I followed and binged away - Cheeseburgers, French Fries, Spaghetti and Iced Tea. Wheeewww!

We bought a gas range and hood for the kitchen so that mom would be inspired to cook more for us. I would be breaking it in by making  my own version of Baked Lasagna next weekend. We also bought a new TV for our ever helpful Ate Jane. Then we have to trooped to another mall because I cannot seem to find nice curtains and blind, good thing they have nice designs at Robinson and at 60% off. Next time, we intend to buy a new sofa and dining set plus a lot lot more!

For my GM Diet, I'm planning to attempt to do it during the holy week instead.

BACK TO MY PRE-MOMMY WEIGHT
Last week, I finally found the will to look into the stock of clothes that needs to be sorted out all those years! I've been tempting to do this for ages but I always find an excuse not to bother, but since I needed to create more spaces for the clothes that's been filing up our closets I finally did it.

I stored all my office attires, preggy clothes and formal dresses along with a dozen jackets into one huge box. As I was sorting for clothes to be donated away, I stumbled into my two favorite jeans - Replay jeans that hubby bought me from their megamall branch I remembered, I tried it anyway- and got the surprise of my life when it finally fit me! OMG!

I'm deliriously happy with this revelation meaning I'm officially on my pre-preggy weight. Never mind the still-big tummy - I think I will need a lipo for that. I was able also to revive a few pieces of never-worn dresses because it was too small for me then, I usually buy clothes when I like them even though fitting would definitely post a problem for me, I just store them away with a silent prayer that someday I will get to use them haha.

Now I  have to keep a few pairs of jeans that are too big for me already, and since summer is approaching I'm hoping to shred a couple more pounds that would save me a lot of pesossesssss for bathing suits, but my SIL and her family will be coming this April, which will mean a lot of food trips, yay!

HOMEY
Its sooo quiet here in the house, with the little girl and hubby already sleeping in the room. We just got back from our parent's place, we met with my brothers earlier to have lunch and buy some appliances (LCD TV, Ref, Aircon) for the boys' rooms.

Its becoming our habit to meet every weekend to buy some stuff for the house, construction materials then, and since the house' construction is nearing completion we needed new appliances. I'm so excited to see the final look of my father's project, they are targeting to move in by end of this month.

We're planning to stay there for sometime this summer, the house we're staying at would undergo final paint coating and the indoor kitchen will be fabricated. Parking area is to be tiled also.

So its going to be movies-food-bonding time with my folks and bros this April.

MY RED COOKING SET
I remember as a child how I used to love playing "lutu-lutuan" (cooking), my mom would buy me cooking sets made of all sorts from plastic to metal, but my favorite one was my palayok (clay) cooking set because I can actually cook with it.

My love for cooking came back when I left the corporate world, now I'm even thinking of enrolling to culinary school.  But before that, meet my new cooking set from my dear hubby:

Because he loves my dishes, he decided to be more supportive :)

NOW A DOMESTICATED WIFE...
It has been a week now since our maid went on emergency vacay, God, I want to strangle her when she announced that she would like to leave the next day, I told her I wasn't expecting her to push through with her vacation, not until April. But I let her go, before I could kill her hehe.

Now, I'm officially an "all-around". But, to be honest, I'm loving my new role...I would clean the house early in the morning or late at night when the little girl is still asleep. I managed to clean the three (3) bathrooms in a week's time. Gosh, its really had to live in a huge house! (4 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms, such a killer! Thanks to my super mop that I found at Robinson's Mall last year. The mop is similar to what's being used by St. Luke's Hospital, you don't need a broom if you have this one...and for an asthmatic mom like me, it definitely saved me a lot of trip at the ER.

And you know what's surprised me more? I was really fascinated with our washing machine, I bought an automatic one when we moved to the new house last June and it was only now that I get to use it. You see, the last time I attempted to wash clothes was when we were newlyweds in 2005 and I used a manual type washer back then, and mind you it was an awful experience. I didn't realize that washing with an automatic type machine can be such a blessing, love love love it. I would wash the clothes while cleaning or cooking, I just have to load the clothes and when the bell rang, you just have to hang them.

With no maid, I have to prep the ingredients for my cooking all by myself, and wash the dishes. My MIL said that the house is cleaner now that I'm officially in-charge, that's how great I am in doing my house chores. Congratulations to me!

Of course, there are times that I would want to lie around, I would ask the husband if we could just eat out. That would be an average of 2-3 times a week aside from Saturday that we usually spent at my mom's place.

Yesterday, we had our lunch out and had coffee at Starbucks, just for a change of scenery and because I needed to buy my asthma meds. We also bought an Umbroller  - it's a stroller for toddler which can be folded as an umbrella. I've been meaning to buy one for "mall-ing" purposes and in preparation for our Disney Trip. It was awesome, though the little lady could take some familiarizing with her new ride.

Sometimes I would think back on how different I am from last year. Definitely, I'm becoming more domesticated, and I'm loving every moment of it.
